Good morning from D&S HQ!
We wanted to take time this morning to say a big thank you to everyone who has been with us on the journey to get Dapper & Suave to it's 6th birthday!
Back in 2015 our best friend spotted a photo of us on social media and commented about how "Dapper & Suave" we were looking.
Rob started writing a blog and using social media to talk about our love of mixing vintage and high street, and then we thought - why not make our own accessories?
It is funny looking back at this photo and realising that we "randomly" chose an avocado green colour for our brand - almost exactly the colour of the cushion Jason is holding!
Six years on
Many of you will know that life changed for us during 2020, both losing full time jobs and setting us free to focus on our "side hustle" - plus lecturing for Rob.
We've proudly rebranded ourselves as makers, stylists and market hosts, with Jason working hard on Curated by Dapper & Suave, interviewing over 70 different businesses this year alone on TEN@10 and working with local charities to raise funds and awareness including mental health.
Our product range has expanded to included a wider offering of accessories for men, women and children. We've even launched candle, skincare and artwork ranges working with some amazing local businesses.
We've really enjoyed being able to sell at our Creative Makers Markets in person again, as well as supporting our friendly, creative and unique makers with training on social media, shop layout and customer service. Whilst writing them it gave us a chance to reflect on how our business has changed - from cooling racks to a shop in a box!
Magnificent Seven
As we start on our 7th year in business, we continue to embrace our creative side and will be launching a range of children's books about our Style Squad, and adding a solid cologne to our Lime, Mandarin and Rosemary skincare range.
We'll also be continuing to bring new fun and quirky designs to our range to ensure everyone continues to "Do Well, Live Well and Dress Really Well".
